Totalscan TS62

The TS62 water main locators are very high powered metal detectors that were specifically designed to locate water mains on the occasions when traditional pipe and cable locating metal detectors have failed. Will work in cluttered areas and at depths where other metal detectors will not work.

The Totalscan TS62 water main locator is unaffected by changes in temperature and moisture as well as its proximity to overhead power lines where normal tracing can not be used.

Often used as a “troubleshooting” metal detectors in conditions where other instruments will not operate.

• Under overhead power lines
• If the pipe has been repaired with asbestos or any non metallic
  material which would not carry a transmitted signal
• When the pipe is completely lost under overhead power lines.
• For locating valves when the valve box is missing.
• In a congested situation where the transmitter and receiver could
  not have the required distance between them and the two
  instruments “spoke” to one another over the ground instead of
  through the pipe or cable.
