What is a PAL ?
PAL is a new-generation automatic leakfinder, the successor
of the conventional correlators. The working principle is
based on the proven correlation technique. The two PAL sensors
are placed on the pipe on both sides of the leak (e.g. on
a valve). The sensors will pick up the leak noise, which
is then processed in the PAL. Within seconds the exact position
of the leak is displayed on the PAL screen.
PAL is super easy to operate
You don't have to worry about using the instrument incorrectly.
After switching on the PAL, everything is indicated on the
display, and from the first moment your PAL will guide you
through the very few steps of leak location - you cannot
do anything wrong.
Interactive step-by-step guidance
Immediately after starting, your PAL will recognize
whether the sensors are connected and whether the transmitter
is switched on. It will then automatically guide you step
by step through the short leak location procedure. It will
always indicate on the display what you have to do and which
key you have to push. Already after a few moments the exact
position of the leak will be displayed. No curves and complicated
analysis. Just simply a pipe section and the indication,
where the leak is.
Three simple inputs
For the precise leak location the PAL normally needs
just three inputs: the distance between both PAL sensors,
the pipe material and its diameter. But you do not have
to key in the information. The PAL offers on its display
a selection of options and you only have to choose and confirm
the correct option. It's that easy to PAL.
Automatic evaluation of the result
As the leak calculation can sometimes be very difficult
(e.g. weak leak noise, ambient noises and vibrations on
the pipe, etc.), a complex analysis system has been built-in
which constantly calculates, verifies and evaluates in the
background without ever disturbing you while working and
without you ever even noticing it. In addition to the mere
indication of the distance your PAL therefore also offers
a comment on the measurement result - in order to inform
you in case an interfering factor could impair the accuracy
and the quality of this result.
Indisputable financial advantages
The PAL is excellent value. In fact you can get a PAL
for a price the leak location market has never seen before.
It hardly costs more than a high-class ground microphone
system. After using it only once or twice, the purchasing
price is already repaid by the saved costs.
PAL will soon be part of every field operator's
standard equipment ... can you afford to wait?
